Linda Nielsen Korducki

Milwaukee-based flutist, Linda Nielsen Korducki is passionate about sharing her love of the flute with students and audiences. She serves as principal flutist of The Fox Valley and Oshkosh Symphony Orchestras, piccoloist with the Wisconsin Philharmonic, and performs frequently with the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra.  She was a member of the former Green Bay Symphony Orchestra and has also performed with the Wisconsin Chamber, Milwaukee Symphony, Florentine Opera, Milwaukee Opera Theater, Rockford, and Chicago Pops Orchestras.  As a soloist, Linda has been honored to appear in concerto performances with the Fox Valley Symphony as well as the Green Bay Civic Symphony, Concord Chamber Orchestra, Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra and Milwaukee’s Southwest Suburban Symphony.  In addition to her active performing career, Linda maintains a highly successful private teaching studio and is a faculty member at Concordia University of Wisconsin and Alverno College.  She has also taught as a guest instructor at the University of Minnesota, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater, UW-Parkside, and at numerous flute festivals.  Nielsen completed her D.M.A.  at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She also holds an M.M.  from the University of Minnesota, B.F.A.  from UW-Milwaukee, and completed Trevor Wye’s prestigious “Flute Studio”, a one-year residential course in Kent, England.  She is privileged to have also studied with Sandra Pahl, Robert Goodberg, Judith Ormond, Walfrid Kujala, Julia Bogorad, Jeani Foster and Keith Underwood.  In her free time she enjoys triathlon training, downhill skiing and spending time with her husband and eleven-year-old son.
